Hello, I’m Jen, founder of Second Hair. What began as my own obsession with solving my thin-hair struggle became my passion: creating a simple, comfortable way to have beautiful hair for real life. Not studio hair. Not princess hair. Hair that becomes part of your life, like your favorite pair of jeans.

I know the struggle because I live it. I have fine, thinning hair, and creating volume has been a lifelong effort — from perms in the ’80s to teasing, spraying, crimping, and doing anything I could to make it look fuller. For best results, I had to wash, dry, and style it every morning, which made for a rough start to the day.

When my hair noticeably thinned during menopause, I turned to wigs. The look changed everything, but the lifestyle didn’t work for me — the cap, heat, bulk, fit, and discomfort became too much by the end of the day. Then I discovered toppers, found my Wig Exit, and never looked back.

Second Hair was born from finding the piece I wished had been easier to find — and wanting to share this discovery that changed my reflection, my confidence, and my everyday life with other women who struggle like me.
